Devayani is an Indian actress, who has acted in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films, along with a few Kannada, Hindi and Bengali films also.

She was born on 22nd June 1974, she was born to Jayadev and Lakshmi Ammal. Her Father from Mangalore, Karnataka and her mother from Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu. She has two younger brothers named Nakul and Mayur. Nakul is also an actor.

Devayani did her B.Com at National College in Mumbai University.

Devayani started her cinema career at 1993, she was the leading actress from 1993 to 2003. She has appeared in Sun Tv serial Kolangal 2003 to 2009 earned her number of fans.

Devayani married to director Rajakumaran on 9th April 2001, with whom she had worked on a few films for several years and she dated director Rajakumaran but both their parents did not accept their relationship and then finally which led the couple to elope and got married privately at a temple in Tiruttani.

The couple has two daughters (twin) Iniya and Priyanka.

Now, she is teaching at Church Park School at Anna Salai,Chennai.
