Jay Shefsky for the Chicago Tonight show at WTTW in Chicago tells the story of Vivian Maier
A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

It’s a ‘56 Chevy. Come on now!
Wow es increible
great stuff!
I find this awful. Stupid old people with their stupid hobbies.
He tried to get many museums' help in this but they declined. And now everybody's talking about how her relatives should have all of Vivian's work instead of Maloof which i think is absurd because obviously they weren't around for Vivian at all and maybe she meant for her story to be discovered in this sort of way, otherwise she would've had it destroyed before she passed away so nobody would ever encounter it. Besides this young man rescued her work and his goal is to put her in history books, now everyone's just jealous of him
Enable the captions on this video its talking about a different type of video there at the beginning
All I see is a greedy Maloof here, who doesn't deserve a penny for this, is not his work. The right thing to do will be to give it away to proper museum and let them do the rest.
I really hope John Maloof becames rich as fuck. Thanks to him we could see the amazing work of Vivian
I think she would be very flattered spoken from a bit of a loner myself. Everybody likes a compliment. These images are amazing. I think her story would make a good movie.
Amazing, I have lived near chicago all my life, the way she was able to show it in her "unique way" amazes me. She lights a fire in my. She maakes me Happy
Wonderful story. She was very talented and was very passionate for photography. To be so good and not known is one thing but not talking to anyone about her photos or showing any of her work just makes her more mysterious. I think her work is very good and as good as the well-known photographers of the 20th century. And she did it with a 120 camera, which I think is more challenging than a 35mm.
who cares about this weird bitch, I take pictures..I dont have a show about me!..Maybe ill start being strange like her make up an accent and stop talking to people..Then ill get famous.. WTF???
Very good.

Check out memory’s details,
Throw glass on the mirror.
Are you surprised a plebian?
She didn’t wasted moments.
We get her skyline,
That cheese on children,
What wonderful black detail.
Any you smile rose.
This is the perfect camera,
How big and small.
What nature behind her photograph.
Mirrors make you blind?
She studied art
In the halls of Montezuma.
Social creep in.
What would the cop say?
Now Fame,
What damage while she’s alive.
This is her predicament,
And we’re just pilfering.
