Most photographers are introverts.. Sorry for this.
Photojournalist? Think about it. He interacts with the subject (manipulating subject) and delivers to the Propagandist ( National Geographic) who pay for images that advance their narrative. Of course NBC appreciates this sort of "photojournalist" to move their own leftist agenda which requires faking most everything.
A life of passion and drive. Now that's really living. So inspiring!
dont interrupt at every moment. just shut the f up
You need to sue tony
Anyone came from northrup video?
HMM
making video in the dining hall was a bad idea, those background noises are annoying.
Tony Northrup brought me here
I think the audio channels are swapped
The beard looks good Steve!
Take a note guys , the gear he use …. Nikon FM2 and Nikkor 105 mm Manual lens and film slide , and the quality? …. wow!
amazing! the legend
Great interview! Best of the series.
99% of photographers dream to have just one photo that is legendary. Most shoot all their lives and never achieve the notoriety of the "Afgan Girl" photo, or it comes after they've passed on.
Oh this is the guy who faked photos and did a photoshop job to massage them into what he wanted. Lost all respect for McCurry after that removing people from shots, paying people to take fake shots at a train station. This man deserves no credit
Do you pay the Indian boys to carry the luggage per hour or per day? #fraud
How bad can an interview be? Iconic photographer, just listen to him, don’t interrupt continually. And hire a real cameraman and sound recordist. Background noise is dreadful. End result, unwatchable.
the king of photoshop

There are many lessons here, but the big one for photographers is, study filmmaking, even if you don't plan to shoot video. The lighting, the framing, the story…it's all there, and at a much higher and more developed level than any kind of photography class or books.
the background noise is very distracting especially since they have mics on their shirts…
I just curious how he sent his pictures in war zone on that time?
The place that no electricity, roads, and even internet.
Steve McCurry must tire of telling the Afgan girl photo story. Every interviewer askes him to talk about it.
This video deserves a lot more views
published June 19th but is it snowing outside?
