Planning a bridal styled wedding shoot can be the most advancing thing you can do to get into the wedding photography industry and start making money off your photography. Being a freelance photographer that specializes in destination weddings it is crucial to plan styled shoots to progress my portfolio, brand, and networking.
What is a wedding styled shoot?
-A bridal styled shoot is when a group of wedding vendors connect and collaborate on planning a staged shoot with a bride model, groom model, a wedding dress, flowers, wedding bands (rings), wedding photographer, wedding videographer, and any other creative that is involved with a wedding and together capture a perfect staged shoot.
Why plan a styled wedding shoot?
-It’s a great way to progress your portfolio
-An amazing way to grow your photography business since you can meet and network with like-minded vendors
-It’s easier to get more creative with your photography since you are not constricted with a wedding day timeline and there is no stress
-All the vendors will want to share these images and potentially get them published in wedding magazines
Be sure to think about planning your own wedding bridal styled shoot! It’s a great way to grow your business, meet amazing wedding vendors, and move your brand to the next level. You can do this in any indsutry of freelance photography to make more money as well (food photography, band photography, model photography, etc)
