‘Tis the season, and buying photography gifts for people is never easy, or cheap. In this guide I show you how to make some largely useless photography related presents, that may or may not help the person you buy them for. The good news is that they all cost pretty much nothing!

Cheers,

James

  11. Stewart Marsden says

You forgot the Pringles tube flash modifier.

Chop the metallic end of the tube with your best bread knife, Give the insides a wipe down with a damp soapy cloth. Keep the pop off lid to use as a defuser, then wedge your flashgun into the bottom of the tube and as if by magic you have a flash gun light modifier. (adjust the length of the tube to focus the light) Decorate with Gaffer Tape. DONE!!

It may sound crazy but they do work as they have a reflective inside.and the lid is translucent enough for it to be effective. I have made several all slightly different when the need came.. A softbox that comes pre-loaded with snacks! Cant complain
