50mm vs 35mm vs 28mm – Best Street Photography Lens
Which focal length should you get for street photography – 28mm, 35mm or 50mm? Is the 50mm classic for a reason? Is the 28mm too wide? Or is the 35mm the perfect street lens?

"your eyes are like two 50mm lenses"
I could not decide so I just bought 24 70 F2.8
I just stumbled on your videos. I Love them. Catchy & informative with your amazing voice. You should consider a career in radio if you haven't already explored this.
Im using 35mm 90% of the time, but I actually just got myself a 21mm lens to try shooting street with. And landscapes.
Recently I took delivery of a Nikon Z7 and the first lens I bought was the native Nikkor 50mm f/1.8. I then got a 50mm but prefer the 35 for most shooting.
Good video despite the concentration on brand X equipment. 😉
Ha ha ha.. love the first second … "hi'.. maybe too close lol
7:23, beautiful shot!
I have d5300, and i really want a 50mm, should i invest to 50mm 1.8g?? Need suggestions
quiapo?
Decided after watching your videos to go into my home town and do a bit of street with my new 50mm was quite happy . But got to wondering what settings you used ? Used manual . Right about the 50 being tight . So I'll use me 35 next time see how that goes . Great vids very funny .
3:28, wondering how he like his Sony 🤔😏😁
17mm with fill in flash is the way I do street photography
First Street You need 12mm!
8:37 guy looks pissed
Is the Canon 4000D camera good for beginners? I hope you can reply quickly to your brother from Egypt
This guy just totally defeats the purpose of the various focal lengths. As you use various wide focal lengths, instead of taking advantage of the focal length which he says, by capturing more of the background, he just goes further close to the subject and takes pictures which essential can be done with any focal length lens. He zooms with his feet which totally is against his point of demonstrating the differences in focal length. I know he loves street photography, but to show which he explains as the difference in focal length, he has to show how much each focal length covers in terms of background and not just zoom in closer to subject. Viewers are getting the same image/background with all of his pictures, either it is 28, 35 or 50mm. So what is the point of this video? Haha
👍👍
WHO ARE THOSE PEOPLE..!!???
I like 35mm and 45mm 1.8 lens. I dropped 50mm as soon as I started using 85mm, which is better for headshots anyway. Also I like the compression on the 85mm if I cant get to close to a subject. If I was going to carry just 2 primes with me in the street; my 35mm and 85mm covers a lot. If I was using crop Nikon body I would use the 17-55mm 2.8 and call it good. There isn't anything written in stone though, so go with what feels most comfortable.
WHat is the main difference between the 50mm prime and a Sigma 17-70 using a 50mm setting?
