A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

Can you imagine getting the perfect shot in camera, one exposure with a beer pour? I did it for years on 8×10 transparencies.
Where's the ice smoke buds??? Fantatic Tut
Actually, you dont need 2 lights with "mini-softboxes" to achive the light contour on the glass. Put a black background behind the glass e make a source light behind that background that is larger than the background itself. You could use a white wall, for exemple. This will make the light surround the glass and create the contour. This photo i've made with just one light: https://flic.kr/p/JZmaqp
Excellent presentation, I did learn a lot, thank you!!
what kind of glycerin was used? 1.23, or 1.26
He looks like my brotha in the law..
One downside of the flash discs is that the light they create has a darker bar where the flash head is, this can be seen especially on reflective subjects like a glass bottle. To see what I mean look at the highlight on the left at the base of the neck at 2:56 you can clearly see the nice soft light has a long harsh black strip inside of it. This would be more pronounced if the light was hitting the front of the bottle where the full reflection could be seen. You would not get this with a softbox. The discs are convenient for space but for the price I'd expect a better quality of light to be coming out of them.
So dismissive of Yongnuo. Generic millennial clown from the Kelby school of My Gear Is Bigger Than Your Gear. At least he didn’t make reference to Henri Cartier-Bresson.
The lens used..?
