Is the SONY A9 the best Wedding Photography EVER? Nikon please save me with the D850? I rented the Sony A9 again because I wanted to be able to say I really gave it a chance and used it for a few jobs. That way when I give my opinion on the camera, I can actually know what I’m talking about. Unlike some folks who use a camera for 8 hours and then all of a sudden have so much to say about it. Am I switching? Nope, not at the moment. I do admire the features and the capabilities of the Sony A9. But I’m not pressed to switch at the moment. Plus I’m hopeful Nikon will come out with something awesome in the D850!

You wanted Nikon to save you, well they just gave us the D850, 45MP, 4-+EV 9fps(mechanical) no the 5 that the a9 give you(remember strobes just 5 and d5200 can give you that), no over-heating, better DR, build like a tank(no a toy, but a tool), no banding under any type of light, oh did I mentioned the legendary F mount?, full 4K(no down sample, need better AF) The best Auto Focus system right now

Bro, your videos are awesome. So real, so composed. You do a fantastic job keeping cool and getting the shots. I have a question, I notice you shoot in 1.8 a lot. I like it too. But how do you get a whole group in decent focus when you do this? And what shutter speed were you at when you shot the bride and her maids? It looked like 400?? And iso 100? How’d you get such a bright shot? Thanks man, your inspirational.

Nikon gonna save you? SOMEONE NEED TO SAVE NIKON right now, its almost in bankruptcy. KEEP dreaming! This is some horrible photo… images are way too flat, at least get a damn flash to bounce lights from the wall so you can separate her ( room photo) from the background or at least the simulation of hair light, jjezzzz!

When you are already borrowing cameras, I challenge you to try Fuji out, at least once. Maybe it's not up to Sony 100%, but XT2 has much more pleasing skin tones depending on the film simulation, it also have silent shutter (fuji has it 3 yrs already), shoots video in 4K, weights much less (lenses are way smaller and lighter), and costs WAY less money…
I own both XT1 & XT2 and I adore them…
The thing that came across most in this video is how affable you are, which I suppose is a blessing for a wedding photographer. I did enough weddings in 20 years as a chef never to go near one with a camera, I prefer my landscape and wildlife.

It would be interesting to give all of your prospective regarding this camera, what you like, but more interesting what you disliked in detail and why you are staying with Nikon. We know why the Angry Photographer doesn't like the camera, but I would really like to know your prospective, since you had the camera a lot longer and used it for actual work!!!

Nikon…ALL day…EVERY day…TWICE on Sundays! That being said…more power to you for killing it at the Wedding Photography Game…I couldn't do it, hate people too much.
