AVVBA presents R.J. Del Vecchio, U/S. Marine – Vietnam War Photographer – February 6, 2018
Atlanta Vietnam Veterans Business Association presents R.L. Del Vecchio, “Correcting The Myths of the Vietnam War” – Ex. Sec. of Vietnam Veterans for Factual History – February 6, 2018
Thank you very much for a wonderful, insightful talk, Mr Del Vecchio. It was nice to listen to yours and others experiences in contrast to those in the Infamous Burns documentary (and seemingly every documentary and movie based on the war). Is there some where I can go to here more of your perspective and view your photography? Also, thank you Mr. Pearl for posing this and other AVVBA videos.
this is freaking great
I have to acknowledge an error in my presentation. I refer to "Paul Vallely" as one of the consultants to Mr. Burns, but it is Thomas Vallely that was in that position and appears in the series. Apologies to Mr. Paul Vallely, who had nothing to do with the series
For those who have interest in the purely factual history of the war, the VVFH maintains a website at http://www.vvfh.org that holds a tremendous collection of articles, essays, and reports about the events in SEAsia. Including a special collection by vets and historians about the Burns/Novick series.
