85 all day long no questioning.
I'm definitely inspired! 📸
Hello just saw your video and loved it but have a question which one would you use for a family portrait with 4 people
pls talk even more about the sponsoring
What lens do you suggest for an 80D crop sensor? I love the look of the 50 mm but it’s too close up on a crop sensor
Excellent video, I enjoy your presentations. I love a lens of from 50 to 58mm for portraits with a crop format camera and will use it on a full frame camera for full body portraits and environmental portraits. I also enjoy shooting with my Sony 85mm f/1.8 on my A6500 crop frame camera which gives me an equivalent 127.5mm focal length. That in mind, I like the 85mm to 135mm focal length for full frame cameras.
I use a Sony SEL 50mm f/1.8 lens on my crop sensor A6500 but really like the focal length of my vintage 55mm f/1.4 Auto Sears or the 58mm F/2.0 Russian Helios lenses. I think that the new Sigma 56mm f/1.4 lens might be just the ticket for head and shoulders portraits. But, the 50mm OSS lens does a good enough job that I don't think that I will switch.
I use my Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 lens for my Canon 6D Mark-2 and consider that a great combination. I have an Canon EF 135mm f/2.8 SF lens and that is a decent choice for the full frame Canon if you don't dial in any soft focus…
I use the 85mm f/1.8 Sony and 85mm f/1.8 Canon lenses rather than f/1.2 or f/1.4 aperture lenses because of the weight, size and price of the f/1.8 models. These smaller maximum aperture lenses also focus a bit more quickly than the f/1.2 or f/1.4 lenses…
I use my 85mm 1.2 90% of the time… Just my style…
Id love to see an additional comparison like a 24mm and see how it looks like compared to 50mm
85 mm is better than 50 mm
Such a sweet girl with canon lenses. Switch to nikon then I will come back.
I agree with those 35 -85 people here. Specially on sony that you have the incredible 55, but is so close to the 85!. I'm waiting for sony to release a 35 1.8 G , but for the moment the Samyang 35 1.4 is doing it very well.
Я наверное один тут из России? Очень интересные видео. Обзор стёкол адекватный
Does the lens really matter when you shoot such gorgeous models, surely the "subjects" would carry it through right to the sense-sor!
In any case, some fine points enunciated between the 50 and 85 to give food for thought! I think you should have covered the 35 as well in this video and given us examples.
Nice one.
Seriously underrated channel. Your ability to talk about things like the amount of background and perspective with different focal length is just unseen these days. You can tell your actually using these lenses then looking at them with your eyes, rather than pixel peeping the absolute corners of a lens for sharpness wide open. Good job. I have both these lenses. Deciding between ordering either the 241.L II or 35L II, Or 35L I today. Leaning more toward the 24 but ill have both eventually.
I see the Focus Rite?! Musician too? 👀👀😯😯
Great video!! Love your style of photography! Breathtakingly beautiful! Was trying to decide which lens to get. Much appreciated!
Nifty 50 is always with me.
Thank you for the very informative video!
Is it ok to use 85mm full frame lens to a mirrorless camera Canon M10? For filmaking?..big thanks
Though they’re heavier, the Sigma 105mm f/1.4 and 135mm f/1.8 portrait lenses will take your portraiture to heights these two lenses can’t touch. Try them sometime, they’ll blow you away. Separation like you’ve never seen. And you don’t need to be that far away from your models with them. Don’t know why so many say that? Try something new. Expand your experience.
