Yesterday I was at Business Academy Aarhus doing graduation photos. I thought it would be fun to video how I run my graduation photo sessions. Hopefully it will give you some ideas on how you can run similar sessions yourself for graduations to even when taking group shots.
Here’s the 3 main things to remember:
1) Take charge!
Make sure the group you are photographing know that you are the one they need to listen to and take directions from.
2) Secure the scene.
Turns out I didn’t have to do it on this occasion. But. Make sure relatives and friends don’t get in your way while you are doing your photos. Tell them to wait with taking smartphone shots until you have done your job.
3) Make it fun
I always keep things light, crack jokes (usually at my own expense!), anything to keep the people’s energy up and keep those smiles on people’s lips.
