Thinking about a home studio here are one or two tips.
A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

Hi Philip, still in the Gers?
Yes , Fleurance in the Gers , down in the South West of France
Hi Phillip, where is that..France? Anyway, nice videos, thank you!
Good luck with your new studio, Sir. New house, new projects, new life with all the experience!!!
I'm from south south Argentina!
Thanks Phil, will check it out. I actually get half decent sound from the 60d but I am thinking for a few hundred more it will improve it.
I've never used one I'm afraid, I use a separate recorder in my pocket and sync the sound afterwards, mine is a ZOOM H2N it has a better sound quality than the camera direct.
Thanks Phillip….do you have any recommendation for a wireless one?
Brad, the mic is a Hama lapel mic, very cheap, about £20 available from Amazon
Hey Phil the house looks good. I have a 60D and wanting to do some videos of some products and I noticed you have some mic on your shirt. Where do I get these from and any brand you recommend that does a good job without breaking the bank? Thanks.
Looks great Phil. Look forward to seeing how you develop it and the shoots you do in it. Cheers
Nice studii
Thanks but I'm in the South of France :))
Welcome back good Sir.
Congrats Phil, on your new house and the studio of course. Do you need the services of a junior but highly enthusiastic upcoming and budding photographer to assist you in your new studio? That is, if you are in the M25 circle?
It's mothers ruin (Gin) I haven't found the drinks box yet :))
Many thanks .
Phill
Let me know when you're free to chat!
Hi Phill! you look good and agile as usual. Seeing you after months. The shifting must have been a task, and thankfully it's done. Take your time to make the new studio, and then the videos. Have a great life at your new place.
I am extremely jealous of your new Studio space! I hope to have my own Studio one day, but right now I am just accumilating equiptment, experience and knowledge.
I'm currently looking at some lighting, too (as at the moment, I do mainly video work) but I'm not sure what I can/should get with a small budget.
I'm really interested in shoot-through Umbrellas as I can get close to my subject without blinding them, but I have used Softboxes before and loved them… What would you recommend?
Good to see you back, congrats on the new home.
hi Phillip, you should live in south of Portugal (Algarve ), nice weather, good food and safe.,i realy like you vids, all the best to you.
Glad your back!
Good luck, nice to see you again
