I know this is a long video, but I tried to do it as brief as possible.
This is an old video (quality is crap), and I believe I made a mistake or two since it had been so long since I’d made one.
Basic needs:
Scissors
Photo album
Fabric
Batting
Cardstock or poster board
Hot glue gun & glue sticks
Lace
Ribbon
Embellishments
Time.

Once it is done, you have a beautiful, custom made photo album. I’ve made them for weddings, baby books, and even recipe books (if you use the iron on vinyl, it makes them waterproof on the outside). Use your imagination–let it go wild 🙂

What you can expect to find on CookingAndCrafting:
* A family-friendly, relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where quick, easy and delicious meals/desserts are demonstrated.
* HUMOR! I am not afraid to laugh at myself or make mistakes. You get everything–the good, the bad, the failures!
* Links to blogs or websites where the recipes are found. Please visit these sites and show them your support!

As we say here in Hawaii, Aloha! E komo mai. Come in, take your slippers or shoes off at the door, sit back and relax. Enjoy the experience!

Please don’t forgot to “Like” my video, if you liked it. Like it even if you don’t 😉

If you enjoyed this recipe or craft and you plan on making it at a later date, the easiest way to access it later is to “Favorite” it.

Hey!! I loved your video! My mom used to make these and I've always been curious as to how she did it. What's the average cost of making one of these albums? If I'm starting from scratch with no materials

Thank you so much. I have despaired of finding a tutorial for a fabric covered photo album but your's is great. And thank you for not wasting video time with conversation about your friend's dog's best friend's cousin being sick and that's why it took you so long to get around to making the video. Too many of those on YT. Hate to sound ugly but watching a 10 minute video with only 3 minutes worth of actual tutorial is frustrating. Your to-the-point delivery is perfect. I've subbed, liked, joined etc. TFS!

I would like to make a home made photo album. Does it matter what kind of glue gun I use and should it be low or high temp? Also, do you know of any masculine looking album cover ideas? I plan on making 10 of these for our grandchildren, 2 are boys. thank you, Mary

  10. Stacy Villegas says

The one you did is easier than the one I did in high school. Thanks for sharing.

I just made one! Thank you so much. I am going to use it as a recipe book. Just need to find inserts. Had trouble with lace on corners. Next time should be easier. I can't wait to make another one.

Thank you SO much for sharing. You made it look so simple! I thought i was going to have to whip out a sewing machine and needles to do mine. My mom had this cute fabric & laced baby photo album set for me. Well, I'm expecting and want the same thing for my baby. Fabric photo albums are so hard to find across and when u do find them they're so expensive. Thanks again!

Thanks for a great tutorial. I made these years ago but forgot so many details and you provided what I needed to make a little grandson happy. Off to finish covering the frame and gluing it on and then into the mail it goes! Thanks again!!

  23. CANDiLOPEZ328 says

Thank you so much for this video! My mom always made photo albums for all of the family, my brother and I each have one. And 20 years later, my mom made one for my daughter, but now that she has passed away, and I'm pregnant again, I'm making one on my own for my son! So glad I found this video, it's so helpful!!

I don't find it overly long since you did show everything. Speeding up the camera helped after we knew what to do. Yours is the only video that shows how to do everything completely. If you do re-do it, please don't cut out any part.

  29. Linda Walls says

This is the most helpful video on the subject that I've seen.

  30. Maya S says

  33. ArtIsMyLifeRUReady says

Love your hot glue gun & holder ! Where did you get that? I do a lot of crafts & that is great ! I'm always Catching my glue gun falling on the floor, stick'n to the carpet, lol, and I'm always fighting with the extension cord and pulling it out of the wall ! lol I want one like yours !

  34. ArtIsMyLifeRUReady says

Thank You So Much ! I always wanted to make one and I've seen people buy them for a lot of money ! Awesome! I can't wait to make this for my mom for Mother's Day! Some folks are set in there ways and don't like or want a digital camera and like sharing stories & look'n at photos.. If you have a digital camera then you still can do this project for Shutter Fly Digital Camera books that are printed from digital photos but ;they also cost a lot so Protect the cover with this Great Idea ! 🙂

  35. Nadiyah Vaughn says

Showed my mom this video and she really likes it and she began doing photo albums a couple of years ago and when she saw this video she got some inspiration to make her photo albums more upgraded like the one in the video

  36. Kandia Haynesworth says

It's nice to know actually printing photos – well developing photos (as they called it when I was growing up) is coming back! I STOPPED making these about 10 years ago when the digital camera was born… These were always one of my favorite and they make awesome gifts! Thanks for doing this video as I forgot some of the steps that were involved!

  37. Paulretta says

I was glad to find this! I am making small album for my grandaughters for Christmas!. I had made one for my daughter 18 years ago, but forgot what I did! This was a great and complete tutorial, thanks for assisting me on this project!

Do you know to do this with an album that has screws?

  41. kristin RAY says

    Awesome! Thanks!

  42. kristin RAY says

Is there any certain kind of hot glue you need to make sure it stays together since you are using it on fabric?
