1: Be a resource to your clients
Think of ways you can provide education and help along the way before they even ask. A great way to do this is through blog posts.
2: Surprise them with a custom gift!
I love Greetabl because you can write them a little message inside and even include their images for them to keep.
3: Under Promise and Over Deliver
I always make sure I deliver the images before the client thinks I will, or that there are more images than promised.

Can you do a video on how to pull together a gift box? Show us what you put in the box and how you personalize it etc
Often the wedding photographer is almost a wedding planner as he has done more weddings than the wedding couple (hopefully 🙂 )
Thank you very much! You are amazing!
I'm from the UK and love these Greetable boxes, after signing up I found out they don't ship to the UK. Anyone on here found an equivalent gift in the UK?
I send a hand written thank you note right after. A bride books her wedding, a mid way gift (half way between being hired and the wedding, then a last thank you gift. The last one is also how I deliver the digital pictures. I send it to them on a personalized usb drive in a cute print box I get off Etsy. But another way is I get their pictures done fast, and often give them more pictures than their contract states.
Great tips, thanks!!
OMG, Yes! This was beyond helpful! I love the suggestion about the per-written blog notes for suggestions and helpful tips to answer questions that might or will have!! That will also be a huge time saver for me, and help the client get answers to questions without having to wait on me or google search everything, etc.. This is awesome advice as always, thank you!!!!
Great tips here!! I have really been trying to focus on the "wow-ing" lately… so I love all of your ideas! 🙂
what a dope video, really insightful
thanks for sharing this with us, really enjoyed watching this
Great video as always Joy! I do the same thing with gallery delivery. I also use handwritten notes to add a personal touch.
I think the Greetbl company is absolutely the greatest idea! I intend on using that to thank my clients as a surprise gift. I do think a hand written note is always appreciated, thus I ordered note cards but I also love to give my clients a personal touch to my packaging that they don't expect and they realize how special it is when they get it. I think you have to realize that perceived value comes in these forms as much as your great photos!
this helps alot, thank you joy 😀
Hand written notes. People love getting them and post about them and we do get enquiries based on them
