Waterfall photography is fun. Let’s get that out of the way. In fact, for me, there’s very little I have more fun with than waterfall photography. And here in Cebu, Philippines there are so many amazing places to take pictures of waterfalls.
On this photography episode, we headed to a couple of waterfalls in Cebu. We stopped at Binalayan Falls and Kawasan Falls. Both waterfalls are great. But, Kawasan Falls in particular is incredible. And there’s no doubting why it’s such a popular place in the Philippines for photographers and tourists alike.
There are over 1000 Cebu waterfalls. But, I do think we found 2 gems for this style of landscape photography. So, I hope you enjoy the vlog!

Sorry about the singing. You can prove you forgive me by giving that like button a tap-tap-taparoo!
Wow my hometown CEBU. Amazing

Oh Jodie.
Brendan, I'm 66 years old, retired, picked up amateur photography as a hobby after 2 heart surgeries and needed to find a hobby. I'm using a Canon 7D with a 15-85mm for my landscape, and a Canon 7D MK II with a Tamron 100-400mm for birding. Thank you for taking me to places in your video's that I'll never be able to see. I've learned a lot watching your videos, again, thank you.
Those shots are amazing!
Gorgeous photography, cebu is such a beautiful background for waterfall photography. Beautiful work.
I love Cebu!!
Please stick to photography. As a singer I don't think you'll make it. I did enjoy the vlog. Be safe.
I also flew my drone there at kawasan then it keeps flying backwards and I guess because of no satellite or gps signal
I'm a Filipino and I shall go there too soon haha. Vlogging with your gimbal? Hahaha that would be so tiring
Would you guys recommend the Canon EOS R for landscape- and street photography? I’m upgrading from the Canon 6D. Is there any noticeable image quality differences? I like a lot of the features of the Canon EOS R, but I’m not sure, if I should wait for a more ‘pro’ camera body. I don’t need fantastic video features, just fantastic image quality, electronic viewfinder, a touch screen, and the new lenses.
I’m considering getting the Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM for street photography, and I’ll wait for Canon to release their Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM for landscape photography.
The bridge is definitely your best shot there. Beautiful.
Hey why dont you explore Tagaytay and Laguna falls. They are close to Manila ang very beautiful.
Proudly I’m from here 😂😂🇵🇭🇵🇭 CEBU
Stunning
Love the bridge photo and of course the beautiful Jodie.
The island next beside cebu (NEGROS ORIENTAL) is much more better. If you like landscapes, Negros is the place. If you want to see, check out my account in instagram. @matyofernandez
Perfect… love this episode! Thanks so much!
If you are into caves and more eco/environment photography then go straight to the 3rd largest island of the Philippines, Samar. It is the Philippines caving capital, it has the wonderful seascapes and it can give Cebu a run of its money when it comes to beauty and numbers of waterfalls. Have a great day!
Yeah.. your pics are always pretty dope but that last one is exceptional.
Great episode Brendan, you captured some fantastic images!
Awesome video, Brendan. Really love how you capture the essence of the location so beautifully while sharing your techniques and technical info. I'm now inspired to chase more waterfalls 🙂
LOVE THE PHOTOGRAPHY INFOS. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. 🙂
Visiting Philippines this July! can’t wait
how are you getting those 3 seconds exposures with no ND filter during the day?!
you should try to go in inupakan island. in leyte it very nice place
Nice man …. a slice of heaven, keep up the good work.
your vlogging keeps getting better !!!!
Amazing photographs and beautiful drone footage of Cebu waterfalls. Brendan are you back in the Philippines or you did this work several weeks or a month ago?
Great set of pictures! Didn't realise that was singing, i thought you stepped on a nail! 🙂
I have to say… I follow your channel for about two years now but from time to time was just overwhelmed by the amount of videos. Since your change in style I find myself really enjoying every single video and looking forward to the next. Great job man 👍
Absolutely stunning bro….. The bridge photo is on point.
Loved it! Photographing waterfalls and cascades is one of my favourite things. Please check out some of my waterfall shots from around Devon and Cornwall on Instagram @aarondinham I would be happy to show you around some locations next time you are in town.
Great work and love your channel. Greetings for British Columbia, Canada
The Philippines is made for adventuring.
Most waterfalls in Cebu have deep pools for swimming with clean and clear water spread out in multiple levels. Kawasan Falls has 7 other minor waterfalls in addition to the major one that is most crowded. Aguinid Falls has 6 different waterfalls too.
@Brendan….I'll give you an idea. Why don't you make a coffee table book featuring all of Cebu's 113 major waterfalls and over 1,000 minor ones? You might want to collaborate with Cebu Tourism office for this project. Waterfalls is one of the places most tourists love to visit or see both in person or in photos. Cebu's waterfalls are magnificent sight as most of them sport an astonishing turquoise blue water amidst lush and natural jungle. A coffee table book that contains nothing but Cebus magnificent waterfalls. Isn't it a great idea?

Hey Brendan you can go to Batanes in Luzon for magnificent photography .
Great pictures, especially love the ones with the bridge at the end! Wouldn't I love to be there, shooting all these waterfalls LOL But aren't you ever afraid that your gear will fall in the water, getting in rivers with it and other risky places? Finally having a good tripod now I can definitely see and feel the difference between a good and a bad one, but to just put it in the river.. I'd be so scared that something would happen.. xD
Cool
Don't you know your not supposed to crash drones without Greg.
That bridge photo is AWESOME…your videos are so informative💗💗💗
haha you sang it
Gatorade Blue should be the next Crayola crayon color.
I love that photo of the bridge at the end! Rivers are so majestic that they are not only a great source of water but also a great source of photography! Although I'm sure it looked somewhat frustrating when there were a lot of people at the waterfalls, at least you were able to get out there and have fun!
