This is my favorite painting of yours that you have shown us recently! It's beautiful!
Hi Robyn!
Love the painting!
Can you/will you update the Gallery on your website sometime? I love to see the way your art/style changes and, well, seeing your paintings in general^^
Very inspiring. Thanks for posting!
Hello Robin, I am new to your channel and totally love your content! I just want to ask you about the name of the website you used to find reference picture for the video.
Wow! A video on my birthday✨
Love this piece. It looks more conceptual
Love this! Thanks for another top notch video 👍👌
I went to school for graphic design. Our professors said that if you paint a piece using a photograph as reference, it is not considered copyright infringement because you are creating a new piece. It’s different from directly copying and pasting the photograph itself.
Great book called, "Steal Like an Artist" by Austin Kleon.
Something to ponder…. If you paint the Eiffel Tower from a picture and I paint it while looking out my window in Paris is one stealing and one original?
Love the purple hair!
Cute hair 🧚🏻♀️
This is so gorgeous!
i also visted Cliffs of Moher and they truly are inspiring, all that green
i hope you liked them as much as i did <3
Beautiful! Maybe something to add to your list of things to learn would be making prints? Then, you could hang on to the originals that you love and still make additional income from it. Not sponsored, but I just started putting my art on Society 6 and the prints came out great. Maybe a site like that (there are a bunch) would do what you need?
I really like this topic. I am learning to paint and I really don't like the fact that every student try to copy the photo. The classes doesn't have reference that I feel "inspirational" to copy. I know that I am a begginer and I need to pass trough this phase of "copying" and I know that I can just use as reference and make my own, but it is so good to be remembered by someone that is one of my inspiration. I am want so much to be your patroen. I hope the a little of economic stability in Brazil to be able to pay without surprises in my credit cart bill…. =(
Can you tell me which site you take this photos? If you said in the video, I couldn't understand (not English native here).
Fantastic video, as always! I really appreciated this one as this is also something I have had trouble doing. I tend to take pictures of landscapes I love and then directly copy from those, which is fine because it's not infringing on anyone's copyright. But, I really feel like I'm at the stage where I want to break out of that cycle and start painting imaginary landscapes. Thanks for the vid and, as many have already stated, the resulting painting looks great!
Your videos are getting better and better, It's amazing to see how you grow and try exciting things to improve your already wonderful art 😊💚💚💚
Loved this video!!! And the finished painting is beautiful 🙂
The Purple Hair looks so good! 🥳🥳🥳🥳 I just dyed my hair purple but it turned out more like a darker pink… It’s okay for a at home kit 😅 But I would rather have your kind of cool purple tone!
Excuse me for this non topic related comment 🙈
Love the video! Though in the voiceover part the "s" you say sound very sharp but I don't know if it's the recording or if it was my earphones overreacting
purp hair
I really like your take on referencing vs. copying and what that means for your art.
Funnily enough, I made a video yesterday that touches on the copy-your-rolemodel-to-learn aspect as well. 🙂
Very inspirational, babe! Please consider tuning your "s" down a smidge. Love you thoooo 💛🌻
This is really useful! Also totally inspires me to give painting another go. Happens a lot when I watch your videos! :3
💜
Hey Robin! Love your Work! very beautiful Paintings BUT you should really consider making prints of your pieces that way you can keep the original and sell some to those who want them! 😩😃💙
I enjoy your message of why some artists need to use reference photos because there are those that don’t have the opportunity to see nature or the type of landscape they feel inspired to create.
Like Bob Ross said " Paint the world the way you see it". Thanks Robin for your videos and inspiration!
Love the purple hair!!
I needed to hear this. I'm on the brink of a breakthrough. Thank you so much for your video.
This painting is beutifull!! 🤗 Probably some of your best work. It really struck a cord in me and I really want to reach in to the painting a go there!!!! love your work!
can you make prints? i really like your artwork but i wouldn't want to accidentally damage an original.
Robin what ground are you painting on
What kind of notebook do you use? And for other random people and recommendations for me on what I should get?
Gorgeous piece. Can't blame you for wanting to keep it.
minnie small take note
