DIY Modular Photo Studio Wall | Modern Maker Podcast
This simple wall building method is a great way to create a studio environment in a non-permanent space. We’re currently renting this space and can’t paint walls or replace floors, so by floating a new wall and a snap-lock grey-wash floors we were able to create a crisp, modern space that properly highlights our work. This technique can easily be adapted to workin in a different room, workshop, or outdoor space… all you need is an existing wall and a flat floor.

Can’t paint the wall but putting holes in the wall is ok?
You all are so smart, great thought process and advice. Thank you for sharing.
Looks great
Neat idea MMP
Wouldn't it just be easier to paint the wall white and then repaint it when you move out?
So the property owner doesn't want you painting the walls, but is totally cool with you putting up a fake wall (that is screwed through the plaster finish) and will require demolition/patching/repainting to remove?
Damn, was really hoping y’all would touch on lighting the room! That’s one of the hardest parts, eliminating shadows in a room like that.
Awesome guys! Really enjoying your podcast! Listening to you guys talk almost makes me feel like i am sitting in the same room as you all! Just hanging out! 🙂 Thanks guys!
I've been waiting for this video since you guys mentioned it on the podcast.
Looking forward to the content here for sure! I hope a series evolves from this because this is such a cool idea. A room within a room!! Nice
Are you going to start making tutorials specifically for this channel from now on?
