So you thought it didn’t make sense to make money with a Photo Blog or just thought it wasn’t possible?
The truth is, this is nothing new. Blogging has been a form of making money online for years. A lot of people are now doing it with things like food blogs, travel blogs and even fashion blogs.
So knowing that an income can potentially be made this way – do you not think perhaps that a photo blog could follow suit?
The difference in content though, a photoblog would feature more images and very little text or none at all. But then again, travel blogs could be the same way too.
However, the content isn’t the only thing you need to worry about if you want to make money from a blog. Of course, posting images and blogging all day and night is not going to get you paid no matter what you do with just a blog alone.

Without traffic and a way to monetize it, you can just post photos all day and night for an entire year and probably not make a single cent from your photoblog.
You may want to consider offering some sort of affiliate program on the side or even some advertising on your blog that can earn you some revenue. There are many other ways to monetize your photoblog apart from affiliate programs and advertising. If you’re a photographer yourself you could offer your services to your audience too. You can even sell your products on your blog.
It’s just that affiliate marketing seems to be a simple way because you don’t have to create or manage the product or service yourself – you just get paid for promoting it. Of course like I mentioned before, you will need to get traffic to your blog to even get any sort of income from it. That’s the key.
Don’t fall for the fluff out there that a lot of people say that just blogging will get you paid. You will not only need a method to get paid from your photoblog but also a way to get traffic.
One of the fastest ways to do this is through social media. People love sharing photos and images of random things, especially on Facebook and now Pinterest as well. What a great opportunity to showcase your photoblog content!
Now you can make money from just taking snapshots on your different projects!
But remember, the strategy is key. You can build a following on social media but it would also help to build some search engine traffic in the long term, especially if you don’t want to spend on advertising.
So the myth of making money with a photoblog is true – from a certain point of view!
